Since connection systems for assembling workpieces have been on the market, their triumphant advance among carpenters has continued.
The advantages for the user are obvious: a high-quality, aesthetic solution that is versatile and flexible in use, and all this with enormous time savings compared to conventional methods. This is because connection systems greatly simplify the assembly and transport of furniture.

When dealing with large quantities of connectors, companies no longer rely on manual production, but instead integrate the milling or drilling of the connector pockets into the CNC machine. This makes processing even faster, more precise, and more economical. Suitable tool solutions are a prerequisite for this. They are, so to speak, the connector between the CNC machining center and the connection system.
Compared to conventional gluing or bonding, the connectors of the P-System fittings are simply inserted into the pre-milled groove. To prepare the groove, a special groove cutter is immersed to the maximum depth and then moved sideways. The machine production of grooves for Lamello Clamex P connector is possible with almost any standard unit from BENZ Tooling. Whether in the middle of the panel or at the edge, and regardless of the angle, the BENZ product range offers the right solution to deliver perfect results even in tight spaces.
BENZ Tooling has developed the FLOATING HS Tenso floating unit for the special challenges of vertical profile slot milling at the edge or in the center of the workpiece. The slot depth plays a decisive role in the self-clamping Tenso P connector: it must be exactly right in order to give the connector the ideal clamping force.
To ensure this is the same even with uneven panels or slight clamping tolerances, the tried-and-tested horizontal floating unit has been slightly modified. The specially manufactured floating shoe scans the surface before the disc cutter cuts the groove at the exact depth of the scanned surface. Time-consuming steps such as the production of test parts or even setting the grooves with a hand milling machine are no longer necessary.
The multi-spindle head MULTI V3 Cabineo was specially developed for drilling the contour for Lamello's Cabineo connector system. The pocket is created in a single stroke using a “3-in-1 drill” – three consecutive drill holes are combined into one. This reduces the processing time on the CNC machine.
Users save time and money right from the first use. Since all processing steps, from cutting to inserting the connector pockets, take place on the CNC machine, the production process and logistics are optimized.

In addition to the products shown here, we offer a variety of other useful angle heads to help you create connections.
