A new plant for BENZ Tooling is being built in Kinzigpark in Gengenbach

On April 5, 2024, BENZ GmbH Werkzeugsysteme (BENZ Tooling), a leading manufacturer of tooling systems and part of the Dürr mechanical and plant engineering group, celebrated the traditional roofing ceremony for the new campus in Gengenbach.

The milestone in the ONEnewBENZ construction project was celebrated together with builders, planners and stakeholders.

The relocation from the current location in Haslach to the modern and future-oriented production and office complex is expected to take place in fall 2024. This is the largest investment in BENZ's company history.

The completion of the building shell in Kinzigpark was marked with the ceremonial hanging of the topping-out wreath. Construction work began in September 2023. Once the ground work had been completed, the general contractor LIST Bau, based in Bietigheim-Bissingen, was able to initiate further measures. The new building was planned by the architectural firm w : architekten from Freudenstadt.

A milestone on the road of growth

"The new premises are a milestone in the history of BENZ. This forward-looking investment underlines our conviction in the company's growth potential and the outstanding expertise of our employees in the tooling business.

The new building will create a state-of-the-art working environment that promotes innovation. At the same time, we are creating the conditions for BENZ to operate with maximum efficiency on the market."

Dietmar Heinrich, Chief Financial Officer Dürr-Gruppe

BENZ Tooling is part of the Dürr Group's Industrial Automation Systems division.

"With the roofing ceremony for our new campus, we are sending an important signal for the implementation of our growth strategy – for our customers, for the region and for our employees."

Martin Schreiber, CEO BENZ Tooling, emphasizes the exceptionally good cooperation with the city of Gengenbach and thanks everyone involved in the project:

Helmut Kälble, Head of the Construction Department of the City of Gengenbach, is also certain that BENZ Tooling will continue to strengthen the region as an innovative and internationally successful growth company. He also emphasized the great importance of the day for all employees.

"This day is not only important for the builders, architects and craftsmen, but above all for the future employees who will work in this building."

Construction of the production and office complex is scheduled for completion in September 2024. The relocation to the new plant in Gengenbach will then take place and should be completed by the end of the year.
