Jens Held Drives Growth and Innovation

BENZ GmbH Werkzeugsysteme, part of the HOMAG Group, has been led by Jens Held as Managing Director since September 1, 2025. In his role as sole Managing Director, he is responsible for the company’s strategic and operational development.

Jens Held brings more than 35 years of experience in mechanical engineering and has extensive expertise in the application of BENZ aggregate technology. After completing an apprenticeship as an electronics technician and earning a degree in industrial electronics, he began his career in 1990 in Industrial Engineering at HOMAG. 

Over the course of his career, Held has held numerous leadership positions within the HOMAG Group. Among other roles, he served as Head of Quality Management, Managing Director of Ligmatech GmbH, and was responsible for all German production companies. Further positions include the founding and management of the Surface Business Unit, Managing Director of HOMAG Plattenaufteiltechnik GmbH, and most recently, additional Managing Director at WEINMANN Holzbausystemtechnik GmbH.
