BENZ distinguished as an exemplary company
As part of the ceremony on the occasion of the medium-sized enterprise award for social commitment in Baden-Württemberg, BENZ was distinguished as an exemplary company in category 3 (150-500 employees). BENZ thus counts among the top five best in the federal state out of over 300 participating companies. The honor was presented at the New Palace in Stuttgart by Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Baden-Württemberg Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labor and Housing, Protestant Bishop Prof. Dr. Jochen Cornelius-Bundschuh and the Freiburg Archbishop Stephan Burger.
BENZ GmbH Werkzeugsysteme is one of the globally leading manufacturers of tool systems and machine tooling technology. Employees of the company volunteer together with members of Club 82—a leisure club for people with disabilities—for charitable organizations and people in need of help in the Haslach area in Kinzigtal, Germany. 'We for you' is the name of the joint project, which up until now has supported food banks, thrift shops and a refugee home. The BENZ employees, just like the Club 82-members, bring their time and personal contributions along on a voluntary basis. Through this project, folks with disabilities aren't viewed as "in need of help", but rather as those doing the helping. The motto is: "Together we can make a difference." To finance the project, BENZ foregoes giving Christmas presents to customers and donates the amount saved to the Club 82.
