An afternoon of games for the refugee children in Haslach

Playing together, handicrafts and having fun was the motto of the afternoon of games for the Haslach refugee children on July 27, 2016. For this event, members of Club 82 and trainees of BENZ GmbH Werkzeugsysteme spent an afternoon together with refugee children and their parents.

As part of the voluntary project 'We for you', members of the Club 82 and BENZ GmbH Werkzeugsysteme regularly organize activities that benefit those in need. On the last day of school before the summer break, numerous children of the Haslach refugee village were pleasantly surprised with an afternoon of games. For this day, the members of Club 82 and the trainees of BENZ GmbH Werkzeugsysteme had come up with different games for the children to play. All volunteers supervised the individual playing areas together. In addition to a game box, a painting table provided with beautiful painting templates, or a construction and game station for the very little ones, there was also a "cow" for milking, which gave water instead of milk. Moreover there was heavy traffic going to the printing of cloth bags with stamps and textile colors, as well as children's face paint, which was particularly in demand. For the girls, the creation of earrings made of metal chips was a highlight, while boys liked shooting soccer balls at a goal wall the best. And since everyone gets hungry and thirsty after playing a lot of games, there was also a small surprise of refreshments and tasty muffins for the refugee children and their parents. The muffins were baked and donated by BENZ employees. Likewise, there were numerous things for the kids to play with, making everyone happy.
